I can think of several owl lovers to make this for. I have not seen a cuter handmade owl. I've never heard of amigurumi which might be a technique, right? I will buy your pattern and try crocheting again.

Adorable! I've liked amigarumi but haven't made any just because they didn't quite do it for me. this one, however, I think I may actually make. Please don't feel bad, but I'll probably make it for the dogs. They'd have as much fun chewing it as I would making it.
