What are you most proud of? I'm pleased that my idea of putting together little scenes into a big one worked out. And I'm pleased that I won a ribbon on it. :)

ribbon well deserved

Well you know... I see all the mistakes. My tension was a bit off in places, my in-the-ditch quilting wasn't totally in-the-ditch, that kind of thing. I was surprised to see a ribbon on it, I really was.

Congratulations! Would love to know more about the technique you used.

Hi Joey, I invented my piecing technique - I use a tear away foundation and a glue stick... it sound complicated, but it is easier than piecing all those squares together! It is written up in my book Watercolor Landscape Quilts which is for sale at my site cathygeier.com. I don't mean to plug the thing, but without illustrations it is hard to explain how I do what I do. Thanks for the heart and the compliments. :)

Oh my goodness! Now I know why the quilt sort of had a familiar look to it. I have bought your book and it was well worth the money I spent on it. Will certainly have a look at your website.

How clever and inspiring. Excellent depth perception on the tall trees on the left. Your lighting on the path just drew me into the picture. I bought your book and will take it to read on my trip to the Paducah next week. Am excited to try your technique.
