What are you most proud of? I like the versatility of this project. The vase is strip appliqued but you could cut it from one fabric to save time. You can include the heart on the vase or omit the small flowers or vice versa, depending on time.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The patched unit can be made from left-over scraps of unused binding. It can be scrappy or co-ordinated. You decide. Whichever way you make it remember to play with fabric and have fun.

I love your Mug Rugs. I have never done applique before...would it be hard for me to learn? Your Mug Rugs are so precious!

Quick fuse applique is very good easy. There are hints and tips on my blog (thepatchsmith.blogspot.co.uk). also The crafty quilter has a series about applique which is very good (thecraftyquilter.com).
