What was your inspiration?
We do a lot of impromptu BBQing and have been using lots of mis-matched things. I decided for mothers day to make a BIG set of matching red, white, and blue table settings, It's a set of 12... I crocheted coasters, a trivet, 2 pot holders, and braided the extra yarn, bought cotton duck for napkins, and trimmed them with the braid, bought cups, tableware, table covers, and an OFF candle, and *violas*!
What are you most proud of?
That I finished it with a week to spare. (:
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
None really, just be prepared to rip out a lot! If you lose count *once* on the coasters, you aren't going to have fun. (:
