Cotton yarn and a J crochet hook, a smaller hook for weaving in the ends.
What was your inspiration?
I wanted something that would help hold my hair in palace while driving with the windows open and still look nice. I like hats and started to crochet them in cotton instead of acrylic yarn.
What are you most proud of?
How nice they look after wearing them and washing them so much.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Try crocheting with a cotton yarn. Remember it does not have stretch like acrylic yarn so you might want to crochet a pattern and then weave a length of round elastic in the reverse single crochet round so that it will be tight while wearing but loose enough to take it off easily. I used worsted weight yarn for this hat.
