What was your inspiration?

My mother loves pretty dishes. Sence she can't always afford these, I wanted to give her lots of beautiful sets for her 80th birthday. So I did, in embroidery and quilting. The designs done on longarm are vines and leaves in the sashing, Small hearts in the cornerblocks, and graduated sized hearts in the borders. (medium in first border with larger interlocking hearts around the outside border.

What are you most proud of?

What a surprise she got when we went to look at the quilt display at a local museum and saw my name on one and it was dedicated to her. I'll never forget the look on her face and in her eyes.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just do it. If you love someone do it soon....

This is a beautiful work of art......and the love and patience abounds! You should be very proud of yourself for giving such a loving tribute to your Mother. We only have one and when they are gone ..............it is never quite the same. Cherish her while she is still with you.
