Materials

heavy gauge copper wire, anvil and hammer, beading wire, crimps, smaller guages of copper wire for strapping and connecting. leather suede thong and cording, petrified wood slab. extra large nuggets of moss agate stone. flat nosed pliars, round nosed pliars, nylon pliars. and patience.

What was your inspiration?

i was pounding on wire all the time. learning to make texture. i had recently made my own tube beads and put texture on the outside of them and then used liver of sulfur on the outside to make them black and worked and polished to take most of it off. the glow is worth the work.
i had all this stuff that was odd and it was just hanging around. a long piece of chain. two pieces of suede lacing. someone saw those rocks at micheals and thought about ruby and had to buy them for me. i loved them.
i had the focal slab of wood for such a long time. i wire wrapped it and played puzzle with the bits and pieces of stuff till i found a design i thought was fun and would be confortable to wear at the same time.
that old wood was my inspiration.

What are you most proud of?

i am most proud of the handmade elemts i learned to do while in the middle of this project.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

as with anything you do for the very first time. have fun with it. learn.
