What was your inspiration?
This is the 1st frame of seven in a banner that will hang in the church. The subject of the banner is Moses and it shows scenes from his story. It is banner #6 in a series of 12. That means I have already done 35 pictures like this and that there will eventually be 84 (7 per banner, 12 banners)
This frames shows a servant of Pharoah's daughter resuing Moses from the water while his siter Miriam watches.
What are you most proud of?
The entire picture is pieced. I am proud of the representation of people. I am also proud of the fabic selection that conveys the elements of the scene.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Design the scenes to have sections. Draw cut and sew the pieces very carefully. Measure and trim every three or four pieces assembled.
