The hood instructions are specific to a type of hood that consists of two hoops and the plastic screw, washer, and nut that attach them to the moses basket. The hood can be purchased at BST Baby Goods, and they sell on ebay. The item is called Baby's Moses Basket Plastic Hood Bars and Fittings. Do not confuse with the ones for the doll moses baskets.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
This pattern came to me via Shifio's as a pattern tester. It was a unique experience in that I would have never thought to make such a cover. I love moses baskets; in fact, I love anything for babies. I knew whom to give it to right away. It will be put to good use.
What are you most proud of?
Though a bigger project than what I am accustomed to and nothing like I had ever made, the basket and hood covers and blanket are so pretty to look at. It's an heirloom item that will be enjoyed for a long time to come.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Give yourself plenty of time to make this. It is not for last-minute gifts. Use the hoops that I suggested for the hood cover. If not, the hood cover will not be appropriate for your hood. You can try to adapt it, of course.
