scrappy cottons

What was your inspiration?

I love scrappy and Pat's patterns are great for using up your scraps

What are you most proud of?

That I hardly had a repeat fabric in it and that I was able to machine quilt a king size on a domestic sewing machine.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Not a hard quilt to make but I think they look best using as many different fabrics as possible so start cutting some 5 inch squares from all the fabric scraps you have left from your other projects and you'll have the biggest battle won before you know it.

I love Pat Speth designs. They are some of the best for using up scraps. This one is terrific! This one can easily be used with Marti Michell's Sashing Star Template Set.

I have a friend who has made at least 10-12 of this pattern and every time I see one done, I just love it! Well done!

The use of white for the stars really makes them shine and stand out from the othr colours. A good choice.
