What was your inspiration?
Practicing garment sewing. Working up to a dress.
This fabric was kind of fugly so I jazzed it up with some goldfish decorative top stitching and a solid color drawstring. Both in bright orange.
What are you most proud of?
I matched the stripes on this pair. And I used a smooth fabric for the drawstring. A flannel drawstring, inside a flannel casing, doesn't slide very well.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Get good quality flannel. The first pair I made was thin flannel. This pair is much nicer since the flannel is thicker and softer.
