What was your inspiration?
Sharon Holland...and spring! These are called pincushions, but could be used for decoration as well.
What are you most proud of?
Making them with club friends and seeing their enhancements! These two I made as gifts. The nests are different than the cute ones with the instructions, I just ripped and gathered strips of nest fabric then stitched them into a coil and let them unravel. The 7" pattern makes a nest for one bird, the 10" pattern makes a love-nest.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Requires some hand-sewing - good therapy if you don't mind that.
