What was your inspiration?

I have made 8 this winter for my grandson's friends in playgroup. They have all just recently celebrated their first birthdays - the perfect gift for warm little 'noggins'

Pattern looks different than on Ravelery.......did you just eliminate the picot edge? What size needles and how many stitches for the toddler size? Looks amazing.....

Hi Janetra, Yes for the boys I omitted the picot edge. 4.5mm circular needles then switch to double pointed. I found the smallest size (81) fitted well. :)
