What was your inspiration?
When making an inspiration board with photography I love, I noticed that many of the photos I chose were dark, moody images (often of food). It's very reminiscent of still life oil paintings. I love the dramatic lighting and various textures often found in these photographs.
What are you most proud of?
I was so excited by how easy the style was to emulate. No special lighting or or equipment was necessary. I did use a trial version of Lightroom and now I'm totally hooked! I can't wait to continue experimenting with mood in my photography.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Free 30 day trial of Lightroom! Do it! (And when that's expired, it's so reasonably priced)
