I wanted to combine my love of quiliting and monogramming and saw a quilt like this online and attempted to make one of my own. The quiliting by far took the most time but otherwise, it was a relatively simple quilt to make. The quilt was made of 100% cotton fabric, batting and thread and quilted on my domestic machine.
What was your inspiration?
A similar quilt that I had seen online.
What are you most proud of?
The quilting, although you can't really see it after the quilt has been washed and dried. That was definately a lesson learned. The next time, I will pick a much simplier pattern for the quiliting!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use the Steam A Seam 2 Lite for the name. It is a double stick fusible web and it allows you to reposition the applique until you have it in just the right place until you iron it.
