What was your inspiration?
My cousin called and asked if I could make her a set of cosmetic cases for her bridesmaids for her upcoming wedding. She chose the colors and the letters of the girls' first names and I took it from there. They have been an instant hit in my shop...keeping up with the orders has been crazy for Christmas. For now, they are for sale as a made-to-order item, but I'll be working on a pattern to sell soon!
What are you most proud of?
The fact that it was born out of a need for a family member. :)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use the right sized zipper for your project. Shortening a too-long zipper adds extra bulk that takes away from the finished product.
