What materials did you use? Cotton fabrics using various colored 2 1/2 square blocks.

This is a nice quilt, never thought of doing one like this. It's inviting... Did you have lots of scraps? If not, what a way to use them up. Great idea. I bet this worked up fairly quickly too? Thanks for letting us see this. Maybe it will give others ideas.. it did me..

None of these original blocks were made from scraps. I made a number of granny square blocks and the colored blocks together. I would buy 10-20 fat quarters of a single color and then start making blocks. I am a huge fan of the 2 1/2 inch square blocks. I now cut them of scraps and set them aside waiting for my next project. This was one of my first done this way but the attached pattern is a orange and gray quilt I did the same way. And I soon will complete a purple and gray version of it.
