What was your inspiration?

This peridot was one of the unset stones I inherited from my mother. I want to set it myself. This is just the first attempt at a wrapped bezel setting.

What are you most proud of?

The rectangular frame and the elements which hold the faceted stone are difficult to size and wrap. I made several different element until I found the right combination. The result is far from perfect but I succeeded well enough to wear the necklace until my skills improve. Then I will make a version in gold filled wire.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Attempt to create a template in order to form the frame.
