What was your inspiration?
My mother just moved closer to me. When going through her thing I found a box full of 9 patches she had made years ago. She was going to make a bedspread. She due to medical reason does not sew anymore. She told me I could have them if I wanted. About a week later I went to the OC fair, I saw a quilt called dissapearing 9 patch. So I went to work. When I sat down to cut the squares I noticed that the fabric was from quilts she had made for myself, brother and husband. This was the first one that i did not quilt myself. I took it to be machined, it was just to big. So my new friend at Patches quilt shop in Canoga Park did it for me. My mom has no idea she will be getting this for christmas this year.
What are you most proud of?
I got it done before Christmas..
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
