What was your inspiration?

My mother's cloth beads - do you remember the type? Sewn cloth tube with marbles inside?

What are you most proud of?

how much fun they were to knit and are to wear! Love it when everything works together!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

have fun with it - experiment with self-striping yarn! wouldn't that be fun!

Many of these were not sewn. Fabric or ribbon was used and twisted around a marble, then a bead was pur of the twist, and the next marble was added until the correct length was achieved.

Thank you! That's interesting! I do know that my mom's beads were sewn. She would sew a tube, insert the marble on the inside and then insert a bead on the outside and repeat. But it is interesting to know the various methods. Thank you for commenting!
