What was your inspiration?
I love pink camo. It comes from my dad, he used to do a lot of hunting so I grew up around regular camo stuff but when they started making the pink camo, I absolutely fell in love. A few years ago I was making baby booties for my grandmothers craft show and found the regular camo yarn and made a few pairs that were my hottest selling item, and I had multiple requests for ones that were pink camo, but at the time I couldn't find this yarn anywhere. This year when I found the yarn I was more into hats, and haven't made booties in a little while (although that never sticks for long, I always go back) so I decided that this "Mommy and Me" set would be fun. I have been making the sets and selling them locally for a while now, and this color style is always a big hit so I figured why not have it be my first share.
What are you most proud of?
They way the hats match almost perfectly together is what I am most proud of. Sometimes you will get a yarn that when you make the same thing with different size crochet hooks it doesn't turn out the same pattern, and this luckily did. I was so pleased.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's easy, and fun. Take your time. Sorry there are no instructions. I am the worst crochet pattern record keeper because I will try something out, and not really write down what it is that I did. That is one reason I just sell my hats and don't sell my patterns.
