What was your inspiration?
A dear friend from the USA requested that I amend my MUM pattern to incorporate a MOM design. So I have added an extra applique sheet to the pattern so you can decide whether you make a MUM or a MOM..
What are you most proud of?
The strip applique method which is quick and easy yet adds the pretty detailing to this pattern.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The pattern is easy to follow so all you have to do is decide on the fabrics you will use - I say 'all' but I often find I spend more time choosing fabrics than I do stitching the mug rug together.
