I'm making a "Fence Rail" design very similar to yours. Choose 2 color families. You put 4 (2.5") strips of a color family together, going dark to light value next to each other. Cut into 8.5" squares and they create a zig zag pattern in the layout. Yours is so sharp. Love it!

Another favorite! Did you strip piece this? I can see it would be easy to sew 2 different strip sets then cut to squares and assemble. Great block!

I did them in small 4.5x4.5 inch blocks and then assembled like the star block Amy taught us. Each block is a dark strip and a background piece and a black and white medium to light pattern. It went fast and I really like it. Plus I only have very small pieces of my treasured black and white fabric left...

Your B&W quilt is going to be fabulous! Love all your blocks! Hmmm, did I notice that there were no hexies???

No hexies. I am not into English Paper piecing with sewing by hand... Very observant!
