Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Enjoyed coming up with a look that wasn't a classic shape. Jessica's method really help giving the cake a tidy look. As a new decorator I need all the help that I can get.

Love it!!! how did you cover the first tier with out it cutting off on the top?

01/22/2014 Flag

If I understand correctly I simply covered with the ruffles going over the edge up to where the next tier starts. I hope I have answered your question.

The first from top to bottom?

Oh sorry I used panel method to wrap the cake. Like a bandage where you cut out a stripe of fondant and wrap it around the cake. Then you cut out a disk to cover the top.
