What are you most proud of? I am a new longarm quilter. This is my first attempt at free motion quilting. I have done a couple of pantographs but this this the first one I did without following any design or pattern. The empty space was terrifying! But after watching Angela's Craftsy class, I knew I wanted to mimic her spirals. I didn't mark any lines, I just went with it. It's not perfect, but it is a place to start from and something to practice to continue to improve.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If I had it to do over again, I would have used a thinner thread. I would have make larger spirals (after washing it, they shrank up a bit and all crinkled together). I also learned that I need to either slow down a bit or change my stitches per inch setting to a smaller stitch to improve my bobbin stitch quality.

Very nicely done, aren't you glad you conquered your fears?
