What was your inspiration?
I loved this pattern as soon as I saw it. Lots of scraps leftover from making two lap quilts from a FQ bundle made me think I could get one more quilt out it.
What are you most proud of?
I was making quilt tops for my friend to quilt on her new long arm machine. We thought we could combine our efforts and have a few quilts to sell. This quilt was such a beauty that my friend decided she wanted it for herself. Now that's a true complement. I like it so much I plan to make another for myself, mine will be hand quilted.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just because a quilt looks complicated doesn't mean it is. That's one of the fun parts of quilting, non quilters think you are so talented--and sometimes what they don't know won't hurt them.
