Materials

one yard of modal stripped black and white knit. Tee shirt pattern from my cut up tee.

What was your inspiration?

Some extra modal to use up. I had another spot to fill on the shop page so I whipped out another t-dress with the last yard of b&w modal. It went together really well.

What are you most proud of?

this is a ? I struggle with so most of the time I just leave it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

With stripes I make sure I have enough to at least match the sides. The sleeves are harder so I just don't worry about them and just to have them inset without gathers suits me fine. I used to always gather them at the top so I did not have to ease them in but often that doesn't look very good on tailored jackets and suit coats. Gather are for really casual wear and thin fabric like hanky linen and the like. Just ease in the sleeves with two gathers and that usually does it. Have fun is my MOTTO.

Your neckline facing looks perfect. Great work.
