What materials did you use? Wool felt, Nylon lining

What advice would you give someone starting this project? In the leather version, I will make the side panels narrower towards the top and use them to attach the O-Rings. Sewing on the tabs was a pain and they do not feel very stable to me. I am not very happy about the Top-Heaviness of my mockup, but I will find a solution for that...

This is a great design! I love the darts in the front pocket, nice way to give it some depth without making it bulky. Can't wait to see the real thing!

I love your original bag, and nice to see a mockup.

A very good attempt with the flap. May I suggest having the top of the flap insert into a horizontal seam and align that seam with the one visible on the gusset? Nice job.

I love the design. Do you think those darts would translate well in leather? I would love a nice slouchy, soft leather messenger-type bag with long straps. I've actually shopped for one and can't quite find the right one. I may just have to make one. Does the class include where to find the leather? Everyone says that it' s easy to sew leather with a sewing machine, but I admit I'm still very hesitant. :) I would love to make this little bag in leather:
