What are you most proud of? This project was a surprise to me. It seemed to be guided from an outside force. I had not meant for it to look like a contour map but when it was almost finished I sat back and there it was! The ocean and the coastlines. It was a happy surprise.

The world can be a tough place sometimes but I always find my peace and solace in nature. I am always inspired by the natural world around me. The butterflies are a reminder of the rest and freedom to be found in the appreciation of Mother Gaia's beauty and bounty. Hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed making it. P.S. I always work on water colour paper because of the heft and it stands up well to all the mediums and water.
