What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make a silver shawl for my daughter's Prom to match her dress.
What are you most proud of?
It swings and has great drape to the pattern. The edging contains 89 silver hearts, with one larger heart for the front closure.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The size varies depending on the yarn weight, so make sure you do a gauge swatch before beginning, to determine what size the shawl will be. Fingering weight yarn made a 17" deep shawl, and my friend also made a shawl with sock weight from this pattern, which resulted in a gorgeous 27" deep shawl.
