i love it! did you make the pattern yourself? my mom just got a tiny tiny pomeranian/chihuahua mix that desperately needs to be cuter, but i haven't stumbled across any patterns i like as much as this. do you just go by the measurements of the dog and play it by ear?

Hi Kate - I did make the pattern myself. I recommend the book Dogs in Knits by Judith L. Swartz for help in designing your own dog sweaters. There's a section in the front that tells you which measurements you need to take and guidelines on fit. You can also use the patterns in there as a jumping off point to making your own.
