Materials

Super Chunky 50/50 alpaca wool blend by Misti Alpaca

What was your inspiration?

The first chill in the air at the beginning of fall when you start thinking about being wrapped up in a luxurious yarn.

What are you most proud of?

I love the drama the kimono like sleeves create.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The Brioche Honeycomb stitch at first seems daunting but once you get the hang of it it works up quickly!

I invested a lot of money for the right kind of wool to knit this one. And I never really wore it because it is so heavy to wear, the wool has such a high weight. I am really sad about that....

Is this a sweater or poncho? Do you have a straight on shot of it? Having trouble visualizing!

I'm not sure if I have a straight on shot. Let me check & get back to you. It is a sweater though. The collar, bottom band & sleeve edges are in garter stitch with the main body/sleeves in a Brioche Honeycomb stitch. The sleeves in the photo are @16" from top to bottom but since it's worked top down it's easily adjusted and noted in the pattern. If I find the shot I'll post it soon. Thanks!
