What materials did you use? Scraps, Applique needle, free motion quilting foot

What are you most proud of? This is my first attempt at hand applique and I loved doing the circles using Sarah's tin foil method. So easy!! A year ago I did a machine appliqued quilt using circles and I used a walking foot to quilt it. It was very tedious. This time, I was able to use free motion to do the spirals and I just love how it gives movement to the bubbles and life to the quilt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I spent many hours working on my free motion skills but it is so worth it to pull out your machine and practice, practice, practice.
