What materials did you use? Pure cotton fabric, cotton thread, polyester wadding (batting).

What are you most proud of? I'm very pleased with the way the colours blend, having been based on the "crane" fabric, which was my starting point. I was also pleased with my first attempt at free-motion quilting on the central panel. It was only vermicelli quilting (stippling), but I think I managed it okay.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use one fabric with several colours in it as a starting point and choose the rest of your fabrics to blend. Then, just design as you go and be as adventurous as you like!

It's gorgeous! I love the whole idea of folding it up and making a pillow for it!
