Instructions

This is not easy!

Playing with Texture Magic was most fun!

I personally chose not to use the strap hardware and just added a strap.

Annie has kits with Texture Magic & her 'Soft and Stable' (a lovely product) available at http://www.byannie.com/shop/product/mipad-case-finishing-kit-2/

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Women

Style: Geeky, Casual, Cute

Texture Magic by annie's Soft and Stable 'Bottom Line' thread coordinated fabrics

What was your inspiration?

Loved these when I saw one at the Houston International Quilt Festival

What are you most proud of?

I love the fabrics!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This requires difficult manipulating of thick fabric layers! Measure your patience level!

A walking foot may have helped, especially since you chose straight lines for the quilting. Pretty. Thanks for sharing!

I used my walking foot for a lot of it, but the difficult part was the thickness of the intersections of the layers of fabric and stabilizers! It barely squeezed under the presser foot! The slightly wonky lines on the texturized fabric are a result of the texturizing. I assumed it always does that. There are a number of videos about using it. I can't wait to try some with wool batting added: https://www.superiorthreads.com/videos/texture-magic/

oh, gsimburger, I just realized what you 'saw' was the result of my poor photograph! That black quilted area is actually texturized. It was such fun! I can't wait to use 'Texture Magic' again! https://www.superiorthreads.com/videos/texture-magic/
