I found this pattern in the Fons & Porter's Quilting celebrations page 56 Fall/Winter 2011(http://www.shopfonsandporter.com/category/s?keyword=Minty+Mug+Mats)I modified the pattern slightly by not using white as the background fabric in some of the ones I made and then I added a hanging tab - so you can hang the mug and mat together and add some decoration to your kitchen

What was your inspiration?
This magazine and Christmas approaching...I wanted to make some Christmas items - and this magazine is full of great ideas.
What are you most proud of?
How cute they look.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be careful when placing he "swirls" - they should be evenly placed - I was not so "aware" on a couple of mine and alas, they are not so perfect.
