What materials did you use? Stretch cotton, thread, Vogue 1204 Issey Miyake pattern

What are you most proud of? I have always wanted to make this pattern, and I purchased some shirting from Gorgeous Fabrics America, which looked as if it would do the trick. I really like the asymetrical seam detailing on the body of the shirt, and the tower placket cuff - also the collar adds a twist to the traditional shirt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The pattern is challenging, the collar is unusual, but it's nice to have a pattern that makes you think occasionally.

Just beautiful. Again and again you inspire me. I love the nice dose of summer in your back ground as well. We have hit the grey time of year in Michigan.

Thanks, I love summer, we have had some changeable weather though. My shirt is great to wear, I'm making another Issey pattern. Will post pics soon.

Hi, I'm sure that I put a comment here some time ago, but cannot find it now. You've done a great job on your Issey Miyake shirt! There are a few twists and turns in all of his patterns, but it's worth it in the end. Whenever you see a pattern of his in Vogue, you should get it. They are collectible items :-)) Thanks, Pam

Thanks Pam, I've made another Issey - you would need to look at my projects as it really isn't a shirt as such other than the felled seams and hem using your methods.

Love the shirt. I just bought this pattern & am gathering ideas on how to make it. Now I think I should sign up for this class, also!
