What are you most proud of? Working with Minky! First time and I loved it. Basting spray is a must for working with Minky.

Absolutely LOVE this quilt! I've read everywhere though that you should pre wash anything before attaching it to minky. I have a quilt top also made from pre cuts, but I'm unsure what I should do about the washing situation. Do I just sew it all together and wash a certain way? Also, did you use cotton thread? I'm so excited to finish my quilt but don't want to mess it up!

Huh. I've never read that. I never have prewashed and haven't had any problems. I'm sure there are many ways to do it. I always use cotton thread when quilting. I know this was a while ago, so I hope you had good luck with your project!

I love minky backs and they are definitely my kids favorites. I have never pre-washed any of the cotton tops and have not had one problem with them. They are well loved and washed often.

when you work with Minky and the cotton fabric, do you have to wash the cotton fabric first?

I never prewashed when working with cotton and Minky.
