Hi: I rally like this. My problem is I couldn't understand the abbreviation you used. What does CH ,DC stand for? I'm used to other kid of abbreviation. Do you mind giving me a little bit of explanation, PLEASE!!!! Thank you. Happy holidays.

CH=chain; SC is single crochet; DC is double crochet; SS is slip stitch. Hope that helps.

Just before the chain 3 and turn, shouldn't you put a sc in the top of the chain 3 from the previous row?

I haven't tried that, but I would imagine it would give you a straighter edge.
