This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Drab to Fab Furniture Upcycling »

Difficulty:

Category: Home & Garden

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Funky, Casual, Retro / Vintage

Materials

Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint in Typewriter Black and Tricycle Red, Beeswax, Antiquing Wax on the base. On the shade I used FolkArt acrylic paint in Cardinal Red.

What was your inspiration?

Ann-Marie's drab to fab course.

What are you most proud of?

Another Milk Paint project under my belt!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The little tricks I learned while doing this project. Like leaving the base coat the original colour only to discover after applying the Tricycle Red top coat that when you sand it to reveal the bottom coat, the brown metal sanded down to brass. Yuck! Ended up having to apply the Typewriter Black with bonding agent as my base coat followed by another coat of Tricycle Red top coat and this time it worked!
