What was your inspiration?
I have two girly girls that love twirling in long dresses. A similar project was spotted at NoodleHead Sews and was the inspiration for the idea taking shape in my head. I drafted the dress with a wide bodice and three closure options: ties, long bow and covered buttons.
What are you most proud of?
The simplicity of dress construction as well as the flexibility of three back closure methods allowing the sewist to choose the option most comfortable for them.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I loved the thin, soft texture of cotton voile or lawn for those hot summer nights. Voile catches in the air just a little bit, lending a bit of drama to the dress.
