What was your inspiration?
a picture I saw of the bird silhouette
What are you most proud of?
This was my first attempt at carving an image into wood. I lightly transferred th image on with a pencil so I had guide lines and then used a rotarty tool I have to do the actual carving.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
make sure to use wood pieces that are not warped. however you are going to attach it to the wall, example, picture hanger of some kind, do it before you adhere your wood to the backing. Makes it so much easier!
