What was your inspiration?
y grandson's interest in the stars.
What are you most proud of?
Michael, my grandson helped find the "facts" for this quilt. We both learned a great deal about our solar system. I even tried to keep the embroidery texture to mimic the planet's surface. On the 12 constellations I was able to show the brightness differences of the stars.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's amazing how much information there is on the internet. Kids love looking up facts and because it's on the internet, they don't feel it's like homework.
