I changed the embroidery on the face to my own drawn face. I also enlarge the size of the arms.

What was your inspiration?

I was making one for a birthday girl and decided to go ahead and make some to sell, but I lost one to my little girl who fell in love with 'Jewel'.

What are you most proud of?

I sold all 3 of the other dolls in one night!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

These mermaid dolls are so fun to make and gift. I love bit of Whimsy dolls patterns.
I would definitely enlarge the arms, though. If they are made to size, they are difficult to stuff and rip easily. My little girls always hold the dolls by their arms and swing them around...
