I made the girls size 12. I dyed some cotton crinkle fabric to match a velour/knit fabric with an embossed scales pattern, given to me in a box of free fabric. I used the pattern pieces and basic construction directions, making alterations as needed to use materials from my stash, including velcro closure on the skirt, rather than zipper.A very straight forward, quick finish costume.
