What was your inspiration?
With my sister's 60th birthday fast approaching, I wanted to create something special that was just about her life with friends and family.
What are you most proud of?
The overall look of the cake was vintage yet modern. Using black and white photos created a stunning imagery, and the use of the winding "movie reel" ribbons gave the cake that vintage look I was going for.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You really need to take a basic cake decorating course in order to understand the construction process of any layered cake.
