Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Mod, Funky, Classic, Whimsical, Casual

Materials

B&W materials and the teal background of the other blocks...

What was your inspiration?

Block of the month! I wanted to add a little of the background fabric to the funky Log Cabin Block... so I stuck to tradition and made the background fabric the "fire" in the center of the log cabin.

What are you most proud of?

Done so far. :-) Usually I don't keep up with a Block of the Month.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun... and whatever you think you already know.... approach each block as if you know nothing and all instructions are a new technique. You will learn more that way.

Thank you! Once I finish a new block, I have to lay it out on the floor and try to imagine what it will look like completed!

WOW! I love what you are doing. Can't wait to see the finished quilt. Are you making this for you or someone else?

Ian a huge black and white fan so I wouldn't mind keeping it, but if I set the blocks into a bedsize quilt, it will go in a pile so my kids and nieces and nephews have quilts to chose from for wedding gifts.
