the holes were made by first outlining where the hole would go - cutting the hole - then applying the patch to the underside - I also applied patches to the top of the shirt - making it a wonderful play on words - holey shirt!Difficulty:

I used a store bought button down shirt with a stand collar - I embroidered the Holey Shirt design from the Maxine #2 collection (Dakota) - because it was holey - I made holes and applied patches. This shirt was entered into the Regional Arts and Crafts competition and took 1st place. Now we are off to the National Competition in DC - keeping my fingers cross - I made the finals - just waiting for the results

this Holey Shirt just had to be HOLEY
What are you most proud of?
I have never been a finalist in the National Competition - WOW - I am still pinching myself - people told me that I had a chance - but I didn't believe them - it is one thing to take the blue ribbon in the Regional Competition - but the National Competition - over 100,000 entries - WOW
