What was your inspiration?
A annual fundraiser for St. Ann's School in Midland, TX is a Mardi Gras Dinner Dance & Auction. The Classes all make a project to be autioned off in the live action, this was for my daughter's class I had all the pieces traced out on the fusible web and the kids cut out the shapes...to say the least many had to be redone, but it was fun. There is a nighttime prayer embroidered on the thin border.
What are you most proud of?
The fact that this was the 1st quilt project that I ever quilted. It raised $700 for the school.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Play around with the blanket stitch settings on you machine to decide what lengths & widths work with each section. I made a chart with setting & examples of each to reference, This was necessary due to the various sizes of the pieces
