Lay your fabrics together to choose the best combination. Be bold ! usually people get scared when they see my selection of fabrics, .. until they see the finished skirt and agree it was a great choice :-)

an orange t-shirt with lace fril for one panel, plus various fabrics. And my favorite skirt patterns :-)

What are you most proud of?

The side panel with orange lace frill. It was my first try ever for this kind of variation on my pattern, and I hesitated until the last moment to add it... But I love it, and so do my daughters so I guess it was a good idea ! :-D

I ended up giving this skirt to my younger daughter. I made her choose among several, and she picked this one. Glad she did too, as it was one of my favorites (and my husband's favorite too)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be bold with the colors and mix several types of fabric: I love recycling pretty t-shirts for the panels :-)
